Claims Investigator

• Performs primary collections, such as follow-up on unpaid accounts receivable through telephone contact and mail.
• Drafts technical appeal letters to insurers.
• Investigate claims for secondary insurers.
• Obtain and submit required documentation.
• Investigate for Estates, and submit claim.
• Skip tracing and asset searches.
• Adheres to all federal law as and company policy regarding confidentiality of privileged patient information.

• This is not a high volume or high pressure job.  You will be given the tools and time you need to perform your work. 
• Large modern desk space.
• New computers.
• Staff and Management are friendly.

• Understanding of business service functions including billing, collections, insurance, and appeals.
• Previous experience in a hospital business office, as a health insurer representative or similar experience is preferred.
• Medical claims experience and understanding of healthcare reimbursement.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel would be useful.
